Learning Leadership for All Book 1: Sharing the Vision...and the distribution of effective leadership Book 2: innovation...and the future challenges of effective leadership Book 3: Leadership Styles...and the role of emotional intelligence in effective leadership The three books that comprise Effective Leadership in Schools, together with the four associated DVDs, represent the thir stage of the VITAL (Visually Instructive Teaching and Learning) project, which analyses effective teaching and leadership in schools. The books and DVDs are most powerful when used together. The books can be used either separately or in combination to consider a broad range of leadership issues. The first two stages of the VITAL project. Effective Teachers and Effective Teachers in Primary Schools, published by Network Educational Press in 2002 and 2003, focus respectively on classroom practice in secondary and primary schools. VITAL 3 links the ideas embodied in the ever-growing literature on leadership to the views of 14 contemporary leaders in education. Enabling you to see and hear these leaders talking about critical aspects of leadership brings educational research and ideas to life.
