"Year Group Photocopiables" is a unique series of photocopiable resource books in which each book is tailored to match the real demands that face the classroom teacher. Most primary teachers teach right across the curriculum, covering the parts of the curriculum that are appropriate to their year group. Therefore, each book in this series contains a selection of photocopiable resources across the primary curriculum but specifically relevant to a particular year group. Content has been chosen so that it matches the requirements of the National Curriculum, QCA Schemes of work and National Literacy and Numeracy Strategies. Within each subject, specific learning objectives have been carefully selected so that the activities provided are appropriate to the format used.Comprehensive teachers' notes explain how the sheets should be used, provide guidance on differentiation and show how, where appropriate, selected sheets can be used for homework. Books contain photocopiables for: English, maths, science, history, geography, RE, PSHE and citizenship, music, art, D&T and ICT.
Although the books are based around the requirements of the QCA Schemes of Work and the requirements of the National Curriculum, Scottish schools and schools not using these documents will still find the objectives, approaches, content and contexts familiar and valuable. This book provides photocopiable sheets for children in Year 1. This is the first year that children are required to follow the National Curriculum and therefore this book is organized around the subjects of the National Curriculum. However, the photocopiables also reflect the fact that during this year children are making a transition from the Foundation Stage to a subject-based curriculum by providing a strong cross-curricular feel to the photocopiables. There is also a strong emphasis on basic literacy and numeracy skills.

This book provides photocopiable sheets for children in Year 4. Year 4 children are unmistakably juniors and are increasingly literate and numerate. The curriculum increasingly demands competence in basic skills and those children who are weak in this area find the gap between themselves and their contempories widening. Therefore the need for differentiated work increases and this is reflected in the teachers' notes in this book.

This book provides photocopiable sheets for children in Year 3. This is the first year in Key Stage 2 and can be a difficult transition year from the less clearly subject-structured world of infant school to the more academic environment of the Juniors. The curriculum subject requirements are more focused which is reflected in the photocopiable sheets in this book.
