This book provides an introduction to the theory and application of statistics in economics and business. The text is comprehensively illustrated with examples from economics, business and the social sciences and will be suitable for use on courses throughout the world. It is designed for those who are either studying statistics for the first time, or who require to refresh or extend their statistical knowledge. There are no mathematical or other similar prerequisites other than some basic numeric skills. Although derived from David Bower's earlier work, "Statistics for Economists", this version has been so thoroughly rewritten and reorientated as to constitute a completely new book.
