Book 1
Book 2
Emma Stolzfus has never been courted or kissed, despite a few dates during her rumspringe years that never amounted to anything. Now thirty years old, it has become her place as the youngest unmarried daughter to look after her 78-year-old mother, living with her in the little house on the family farm now run by her bossy sister Karen and her husband John.
Emma may live a quiet life in the physical world but in the world of her mind she's very active. In the dark hours when her mother is asleep, Emma hauls out her ancient Smith-Corona manual typewriter and writes - letters and essays to Amish periodicals, short stories, even a novel she's been working on in fits and snatches of time for the last five years. While her best friends Amelia Beiler - soon to be Fisher - and Carrie Miller know she writes letters to the editor, they have no idea about her fiction.
Tyler West, an editor at a New York publishing house, takes an interest in Emma's novel. Secretly, she goes to meet him and he shows her the city and ultimately offers her a book deal. It is the first time a man has taken an interest in her and beyond that he wants to publish her novel. Emma suddenly finds herself torn between her Amish faith and the lure of all the English world offers her.
Book 3
Carrie longs for children, but after 10 years of marriage, that blessing eludes her. Her husband Melvin struggles with his own feeling of failure. Into this troubled marriage comes Joshua, recently returned to the fold after banishment for wild behavior, and determined to mend his ways.
Carrie befriends Joshua, grateful for his help around the homestead. But when rumors about Joshua start to circulate, Carrie is torn by issues of faith - whether to stand by Joshua or obey her husband. Then a neighbor becomes pregnant out of wedlock and Carrie longs to adopt the baby. Can she attain her heart's desire, or will her friendship with Joshua derail any chance of future happiness?
Book 6
The third installment in the Healing Grace series finds young Amish widow Sarah Yoder facing her greatest challenge--herself.
Sarah hasn't seen Henry Byler since he became engaged to an Englisch woman, which is best for her peace of mind. She's busy with her family: welcoming her son back from the ranch in Colorado, finding a husband for her sister-in-law, and making the teas and tinctures that heal the members of her church. Then Henry seeks her out, desperate for a balm for his hands before his success as a potter is jeopardized, and Sarah has to call on every ounce of strength to deny the cry of her heart. Yet there is someone who just might have a special cure in mind--a healing balm with the power to change everything. But with Henry's wedding only days away, is it already too late?
