Book 1
Every 73-75 years a comet travels close to Earth, opening a rift between dimensions that allows paranormal entities to travel through. These entities are called preternaturals and unfortunately most are criminals. As a result, human police forces work with preternatural Councils all over the world to handle matters of crime.
Half-human, half-demon, Nix De La Fuente is a special liaison reporting to the Phoenix, Arizona Council. When her vampire friend is murdered—the second vampire death in days—Nix is determined to find the killer. She is shocked to learn her former lover Tobias Caine—the vampire who'd walked out on her five years before—has been assigned to investigate with her.
Rumours begin stirring that a demon may be responsible for the murders and Nix herself becomes a suspect but as more bodies turn up, the evidence points to Tobias's arch enemy, Natchook, whom Tobias felt was responsible for the assassination of his vampire leader centuries before. The only problem is Tobias has no idea where Natchook may be hiding.
With the Council determined to get rid of Nix and murders steadily on the rise, time is running out, forcing Tobias and Nix to put aside their past in hopes of saving their futures.

Council Liaison Victoria "Tori" Joseph is a werewolf with a secret: she's withholding information about a recent slate of were-attacks that result in human victims turning into werewolves. She struggles with her decision to tell what she knows about the case because doing so will harm someone very close to her. Yet, working with her sexy human colleague, Detective Dante Fabrizio, has her wanting to do the right thing.
Dante has been in the Special Case Division for almost a year and is still shocked at how violent the Extra Dimensionals (EDs) can be. Experience tells him Victoria knows more than she's telling and while he can't ignore the danger inherent in a relationship with a werewolf, he can't deny his attraction to her.

With the next influx only six months away, the Council is hard pressed to keep the preternatural community safe. They decide to put together a team to investigate pret criminal Natchook's followers. Unbeknownst to them, Council member Tobias Caine is developing a team of his own.
The leader of Tobias's team is Finn Evnissyen, a demon bad boy who has what it takes to infiltrate Natchook's rogues. Finn is eager to help Tobias after he saved Finn's life in the past. And since Finn has never gotten along with the Council, he's happy to keep Tobias's secret.
The Council has assigned Fae warrior, Keira O'Brien, to head their efforts in bringing down Natchook's gang. Keira is determined to help the Council in order to prove her worth after a life of crime in the other dimension.
When Finn and Keira's paths cross, they can't deny the sparks that fly. Yet, once they discover they each have been working for opposing sides, they are forced to choose between each other and their duty to bring down a common enemy.
