This text provides an introduction to the two interdependent subjects of quality control system management and quality measurement techniques, enabling measurement and calibration procedures to be considered in the context of attaining quality assurance targets. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, the author covers BSI, ISO and ECS standards and regulations and explores real-world calibration procedures and measuring instruments. A set of conversion tables between Imperial and SI units is also provided. The overall aim of the book is to serve as an accessible reference to the non-technical reader.
