Percussion Players

The National Curriculum requires that children have experience playing tuned percussion instruments (xylophones, glockenspiels, chime bars, etc.) This work is aimed at the generalist teacher delivering music to children aged 9 years and over, with limited resources and possibly little confidence. No music-reading is required. The pack includes musical games for exploring and developing musical skills, play-along ideas for songs, with photocopiable parts for children to play from, ideas for improvisig and composing and a cassette which takes the teacher and children through all the ideas step-by-step to final performance.
