This book recognizes and honors the life and work of Adam Curle, one of the leading pioneers of peace education, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth in July 1916. The book is organized in four parts: * a brief introduction to Curle's personal and professional biography and key aspects of his work* a biographical essay on Adam Curle with selected photos in color* key innovative texts that cover the different periods and themes of Curle's life and work; the texts are selected by Tom Woodhouse and John Paul Lederach, who have unique access to the Adam Curle Collection, which is part of the special collections archive of the University of Bradford Library* a reflective essay on the continued relevance of Curle's work for contemporary peace and conflict research
