Steiger moves to Fargo: In 1969, the Steiger brothers moved their tractor manufacturing away from the farm in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, to a new facility in Fargo, N.D., where Steiger tractors took on the big cat names. Sales increase: Once tractor production was up and running in Fargo, Steiger tractor sales quickly spread across America and overseas to Europe, Australia, Africa and beyond. As sales increased so did the range of tractors. Industrial tractors: The strength and power of these tractors was quickly recognized by the construction industry. Series II machines were painted Industrial Yellow and used to pull scrapers. Today, the red Steigers are still used for the same operation. Steiger name replaced: When Case IH purchased the rights to build Steiger tractors, the Steiger name was replaced with a new numbered series. In the year 2000, the Steiger name re-appeared on the STX tractors and the Quadtrac soon became the farmer's friend. This fascinating film is a must for any 4-wheel-drive enthusiast.
