Young American Patriots
4 primary works
Book 1
Accused of a crime he did not commit, Will leaves England for America, where his search for his long-lost father becomes entangled with the pre-Revolutionary turmoil of the colonies' feud with England.
Book 2
As the summer of 1765 winds down, the city of Boston heats up with revolutionary fever. Passage of the Stamp Tax in London makes everyone in town angry. Protests turn violent, and Ebenezer Mackintosh leads a mob to break into the British lieutenant governor's house, destroying the family's possessions. Young Will Northaway tries to see the difference between the fierce anger of Mackintosh and his followers and the eloquent calls for independence coming from Sam Adams. Both want to throw off British rule; so what's the difference between these men and what they want for the American colonies? Will and his master leave Boston to escape the growing lawlessness, but soon trouble spreads to their new home, too. Through all of this, Will's master is becoming a man of faith, and Will tries to decide what he thinks about his master's God. Book Two of the Young American Patriots Series.
Book 3
By talking to him about God, a new friend helps sixteen-year-old Will make sense of the increasing hostilities between his master, a Loyalist Boston printer, and the Patriots who chafe under Britain's rule in 1767.
Book 4
No longer indentured, seventeen-year-old Will has spent a year on the Teasdale's farm working and learning to trust God when, in 1769, his old friend Tommy arrives in Boston as a British conscript and asks Will to help him desert.
