Resurrecting Magic
4 primary works Complete
Book 1
College is hard—classes, homework, bullies. But, being the daughter of renowned professors, I grew up at Alderidge University and was on track to have an easy start to my freshman year. Until I met Nathaniel Nightingale.
Aloof and mysterious, Nathaniel’s hands were covered in scars that told me he had a violent history. He started asking questions about my own, and then dark secrets in our family lines collided after a strange discovery in the library. We found words with power, and they unleashed abilities in the both of us that had been lost to the world.
Turns out, the witch trials weren’t entirely the product of mass hysteria. As far as we can tell, almost every mage was wiped out – killed for their knowledge and their capabilities. And now I have to wonder if my mother’s disappearance is related.
This is dangerous. It’s feels impossible. We have the weight of an entire lost race resting on our shoulders.
But we’ve got this. Together, we’ll bring it all back. Together, we’ll resurrect magic.
Book 2
Margot and Nathaniel's journey continues as they resurrect magic...
Nathaniel and I thought we were alone in this, until the day our enemy walked through the door, showing us the impossible things he could do. Borden Stewart was the last person we ever thought we could trust—I certainly don’t, but Nathaniel has forgiven and forgotten.
As a new semester at Alderidge University starts, the stakes are higher than ever. There are ramifications to Borden leaving the Society Boys. Now all of us—our work—are targets. And how am I ever supposed to focus on school, when the call to bring back magic grows more intense by the day? Alderidge is part of my family legacy, but I’m realizing my future is leading me elsewhere.
Our mastery is expanding—fire starting, telekinesis, even alchemy. And then we unleashed the ability to test if any book or person has magical abilities.
Now, everything is about to change.
Book 3
The last place any of us expected the newest mage to come from was the past and a book. But Olin’s arrival has brought answers. He knows why some mages can do magic and why some cannot. We all came to Europe to get answers about magic and our history, and that’s exactly what we’re getting, in the most unexpected ways.
While we scour Germany, France, Scotland, and other countries for information and books, Nathaniel and I shakily try to repair what has broken between us. But I’ve noticed something new in Borden’s eyes when he looks at me. We make a good team. What would have happened if I had met Borden first?
I’m no longer a student, and this is a new phase of life. I am determined to take care of my newfound family, and that involves a lot of alchemy and real world moves in finding us a safe home. But someone in our group isn’t telling the whole truth about their past, and now every one of our lives is on the line.
Book 4
The weight of being a mage is piling up.
I discovered the truth of who Olin really is and he tried to kill me for it. Me, Nathaniel, our students, we’re not murderers, but he’s putting every single one of us at risk, and a modern witch hunt is just around the corner with him on the loose. We must deal with him.
My mother has returned. We have been wary of portal magic ever since her disappearance, but she’s brought with her a tale far more perilous and wilder than I ever could have imagined. What we do is dangerous. As we discover more and more magic, we’re experimenting with our own lives every single day. We can’t ever forget the risk.
The academy is growing, our knowledge of magic is speeding along. Nathaniel and I are planning our wedding. In so many ways, all our dreams are coming true.
But none of it is safe until we put an end to Olin. It will take every student at Nightingale Academy to put an end to this. Battle magic was something I never wanted to focus on, but we will do whatever it takes to protect each other.
