This volume presents a thematically arranged selection of readings from Wittgenstein's key works. It begins with an abridgement of the "Tractatus Logico-philosophicus", in so far as it set the philosophical agenda for almost everything else Wittgenstein wrote, however far he travelled from his initial positions. Later readings are grouped thematically, but the ordering of the themes corresponds roughly to the chronological development of the focus of Wittgenstein's philosophical interests, from "The Rejection of Logical Atomism" through to "Ethics, Life and Faith".
