Book 1

Everyone thinks 10-year-old Thomas Trew is weird: neighbours, other kids, even his own dad. Thomas doesn't really mind. It's been like that ever since he can remember. Then one day there's a dwarf in his house, and his life changes forever. Thomas is summoned to the Hidden World -- a magical place responsible for dreams, music, and imagination in the Obvious World (the human world). Extraordinary adventures await Thomas and his shape-shifter friends, caught up in the unpredictable rivalries between the different races of this world. He soon discovers his true talents and emerges as a Rymer, able to take his place as a link between the worlds of imagination and magic and the everyday. Thomas comes to understand both, and his 'weirdness' becomes greatness indeed.

Book 3

The Magicians' and Enchanters' Convention is taking place and magicians, wizards and enchanters from all over the Hidden and Obvious Worlds have flocked to Owlchurch. But when the valuable golden prizes donated by the Klint-king are stolen, Thomas and his friends start to investigate. The mysterious Brock Blackbeard is high on their list of suspects, but when they're kidnapped by a gang of ruthless thieves it appears that they've stumbled upon a much more elaborate and scary plot ...

A beautiful stranger has arrived in Owlchurch and soon wins over the entire village. Frodite is a magical-ointmaker and has the Horns of Pan - the highest award, granted by King Pan himself. But when strange things start to occur, Thomas and the twins begin to suspect that Frodite is not all that she seems. Determined to investigate, they set off on a dangerous journey through the forest to find the twins' wild father, the Green Man. Can he help them find answers?

Trouble is brewing in the underwater land of the selkies when a young seagirl is discovered unconscious in Owlchurch. She's been poisoned by a curse that's spreading throughout the sea world - a curse that must be stopped before it affects the whole Hidden World. When Thomas promises to help, he and his friends travel to the wild and amazing land of the seafolk where they embark on an exciting adventure at the very depths of the ocean.

The breathtaking land of the Ariels floats in the clouds, rich in powerful magic. But hidden dangers hover there. With his ravening pack of dogs, the wild and terrifying Flying Huntsman stalks the skies astride his brutish horse. On a visit to Ariel country, Thomas is snatched from his friends. Is the Flying Huntsman behind his disappearance, or is another enemy on the loose?

When a mysterious island emerges from the River Riddle, panic spreads through Owlchurch. It's the Island of Ghosts, where ghosts of past Rymers dwell in afterlife. Its appearance means only one thing: a living Rymer is in mortal danger. Only one known Rymer lives. Thomas Trew. A plan is quickly hatched to send Thomas back to London where he is safe from the dangers of the Hidden World, but Thomas has other ideas. He loves living in Owlchurch - now his real home - and can't bear to leave all his new friends for boring, dreary London. Thomas soon devises his own daring plan to search the island to seek his mother, Mab, a past Rymer whose ghost must live there. And so awaits a dark and dangerous adventure as Thomas enters the island's door ...
