Ricky Lee brings a puppy home and his father tells him that the puppy, named Tako, can only stay if he behaves, but when a jealous baker, Mr. Pritchard, tries to put the family bakery out of business Tako isn't sure if he can follow the rules.
When a mysterious thief is hiding in the Lee household and store, little puppy Tako is assigned the task of uncovering the mystery.
