Ray the lighthouse keeper and Croup, his furry, fat dog are the characters portrayed in this collection of four children's stories. They save a fog-bound ship and Croup becomes a hero; they rescue a little bird stuck with tar and celebrate Ray's birthday. Margaret Joy has contributed many stories to BBC TV's "Play School" and BBC Radio's "Listen with Mother".
