This tutorial-learning material is designed for the Year Head to give to tutors for the core of their tutorial programme throughout the year. There is a book for each year of secondary schooling, leading pupils to explore aspects of personal and social education. The topics lead on one from the other, but the tutor can also vary the order and readily extend the topics. The assignments allow individual work, small-group activities, or whole tutor-group work. The material is designed to be interesting, wide-ranging, and accessible for pupils. The key stages of the students' development as they grow up and move through school are well covered, including attention to study skills and the pupils' own planning of work. The major stages of adolescence are realistically explored.
