Against a background of failing states, magik and spirits, Coryn and Katleya lose all that they have and must flee all that they know. Coryn, protected by a cracked amulet, must find his sister and fulfil an oath. Katleya has only her wits and her knives to defend herself. Coryn now trains young warriors in Storr Haven in the use of magic, but he still searches for Katleya, the woman he lost.
Two young Londoners, Evie and Alan, are flung through a Portal into Dumnon. They must learn to fight and survive in an alien world they don’t understand.
