Written by active members of Learning through Landscapes, a national charity founded in 1990 to help teachers realize the full educational potential of school grounds throughout the United Kingdom, this book proposes imaginative uses for school grounds. The activities are organized by the main curriculum subjects, followed by two chapters focusing on cross-curricular theme projects and one on a long-term project surveying the school grounds. All share an emphasis on promoting active learning skills.
