This text is designed for students expected to achieve grades E, F and G at GCSE and prepares students for NEAB English Papers 1 and 2. The book provides a match to the NEAB syllabus, with skills taught gradually, in simple steps. The book contains motivating texts and extracts which are particularly accessible to lower ability students, with simple test-yourself sections at the end of each unit to ensure students are building skills and developing an understanding of what they are trying to achieve.
Written to help pupils to prepare for the NEAB English exams, this book covers reading non-fiction and writing for Paper 1, skills practice in responding to texts and writing for Paper 2, and extra coursework thematically linked to the exam-based material. The book is matched to the NEAB syllabus, and explains what pupils should do for each paper. It is also designed to generate lively classroom lessons, and includes practice questions which aim to build confidence before the exam.
