Jachen Könz

Now based in Lugano, Jachen Könz originally stems from Ardez in the Engadin region. One of his most important projects was built in Zuoz: the Mariöl housing development. The sculptural concrete building has window apertures and excavations that appear as if incised with a scalpel. The kindergarten in Morbio Inferiore was completed in 2018. Its structure in wood and concrete makes a powerful, masterly and narrative impression.

Alain Wolff architectes

In 2003, the Sion-born architect Alain Wolff founded his architectural office in Lausanne. Since then, a number of remarkable buildings have been produced – mainly in rural areas. For instance the Ecole de la Verrerie is carefully integrated into the surroundings and impresses with its materialisation in wood and concrete. The arrangement of the classrooms and sports hall resembles a well-balanced organism.

Giorgis Rodriguez

Timothée Giorgis founded his office in Geneva in 2007 and was joined by Juan Rodriguez in 2015. Since then, a remarkable number of residential buildings and refurbishments have been completed, including a major facility with a municipal and school building in Satigny near Geneva. It is carefully embedded in the landscape with a calm gesture. The reserved developments reveal a refined, detailed architectural language.

The present office in Zurich dates back to the founding of Dolf Schnebli in 1958. Through various constellations, the team has changed to its present form s a m architekten with Sacha Menz as the only one of the founding partners. Smaller buildings as well as large buildings of high quality are continuously being created. For example, the delicate Rustico Ronchetti in Brissago, which is subtly integrated into its surroundings, or the school extension in Vals, which radiate a poetic power, or the complex extension of the Swiss Re clubhouse at Mythenquai in Zurich, created in collaboration with artists.
