Fourteen-year-old Dax Ramirez is living with his dad in a homeless shelter, and Dax is spending his days hustling less skilled skateboarders at the local skatepark--until an accident leads him to the first friends he has had in years, and an offer that will let him put his artistic skills to good use.
Although he lives on a farm in Minnesota, Ben Martin is a skateboarder who dreams of having a chance to skate with professionals at a regional competition--but he has never performed in front of a crowd and when he goes to make a demonstration video he freezes up.

Always the new kid in town, Jason Trevino spends his time skateboarding, and when three new friends show him the abandoned amusement park they have turned into a secret skatepark he is delighted--so when Jason's father shows up with a crew to renovate the park he has find a way to help both his friends and his father.
