A monk teaches a cobra how to control his temper. The cobra lives happily with the village children until a new boy in the village takes vengeance on the cobra. Teaches children that non-violence is just as important as knowing when to strike back.
Enchanting tree spirits grant a poor playwright named Muthu his wish: that he always have food. Muthu then hosts a feast for the entire village and in so doing angers the richest man in town.
Kalia and Swapan are poor village shoemakers. They ask a holy man for a genie to get money for them. When Kalia and Swapan run out of work for him, the genie threatens to gobble them up, and Kalia must again turn to the holy man to help save his family.
Peacock becomes leader of the forest, and marries Surya, the daughter of the sun king. But Peacock, who is only concerned with his looks, is replaced by another leader and learns that looks alone are not what matter.
