Book 1
William, Mary and Alice arrive at Golden House on their Christmas holidays, and it doesn't take them long to realise that there is something mysterious about the ancient house. William's inquisitiveness draws them to the secret steps up the chimney and into the secret room where the magician lives.
Book 2
It is spring and William, Mary and Alice Constant have returned to Golden House for the Easter holidays, anxious to see if the magic will work again. When they are drawn to the Magician's hideout, through a door in a tree, they learn that the secret to magic is believing; and through believing they can enter the magic and continue their great task.
Book 3
THE MAGICIANS HOUSE William, Mary and Alice spend their school holidays with their Uncle Jack and his girlfriend, Phoebe at the magical Golden House, where they encounter a magician from another time who gives them magical powers and sets thema very important task. . . BOOK 3- THE TUNNEL BEHIND THE WATERFALL It's summertime and the children are back at Golden House, enjoying the sun and relaxing on the banks of the lake, Golden Water. But news of development plans for Golden Water send worries round the house, and the magician warns that they MUST stope the destruction of the magical place. With the magician's evil assistant, Morden, getting closer and closer to time travelling and his magical powers becoming stronger and stronger, the children have a tough job to save the lake and its surroundings.

THE MAGICIANS HOUSE William Mary and Alice spend their school holidays with their Uncle Jack and his girlfrien, Phoebe at the magical Golden House, where they encounter a magician from another time who gives them magical powers and sets them a very important task. . . BOOK 4- THE BRIDGE IN THE CLOUDS The survival of Golden Valley is now hanging in the balance and the children know they must do something. With the help of the magicians golden pendulum they finally manage to travel back to the magicians time. But, when they arrive, they discover the magician is old and ill, and his powers are waning. Trying their best to save Golden Valley and help the magician, they inadvertently help evil Morden's spirit enter Golden House in their time. Will this mean the end of Golden Valley and the end of their magic.
