Scotch Obsessions

by Brian D. Osborne and Ronald Armstrong

Published 1 January 2001
This is an investigation into the Scots and their many and varied obessions, accompanied by relevant quotations from poets, novelists and writers. This book explores the beliefs, habits, passions and phobias which have influenced and formed the Scottish character throughout the centuries. Famous obessions such as sport, England, money and drink are discussed, as are perhaps less obvious subjects such as emigration, law, work and death.
