This series is suitable for the majority of GCSE courses in modular and integrated science. The book also meets the requirements for the optional topics of the Standard Grade Science syllabus. The approach is similar to the series "Science in View", with material presented in two-page units, graded questions on each page, and an emphasis on the development of information handling and problem-solving skills. The areas covered include fire and flame; understanding colour; biotechnology and this one on domestic electricity. This covers the use of electricity in the house and how it gets there; sources of alternative energy and the "nuclear debate".
