Coursework which is assessed as a compulsory part of GCSE courses can be worth between 20% and 50% of the total marks in the exam. This book stresses the importance of doing this work well, and guides the student towards success, giving examples of good and bad coursework. It explains the difference between course and exam questions, looks at the different types of coursework students can select, suggests strategies and gives hints on avoiding pifalls and gaining good marks. Ron Bull has marked GCSE coursework in his capacity as Senior Moderator of the Southern Examining Board, and is therefore well qualified to direct students in this area.
