Preschool children get an early introduction to a second language when their parents show them books in the charming Bilingual First Books series. These titles are bilingual in English and Spanish, and give toddlers a head start in learning a foreign language at the same time they are learning their own. Charming two-page spreads show color pictures of familiar objects all relating to the book's general theme. The word on the left for parents to read aloud is in English, and the word on the right is its Spanish equivalent. The last page of each book aids parents with a list of all words introduced in the book plus easy pronunciation rules. (Ages 2 and older)

Cuddly, colorful teddy bears teach new words to very young children -- and they do it in two languages! Six titles are in both English and French, and six more are in English and Spanish. They give very young children an early start in learning a foreign language at the same time that they are learning their own. The illustrations on every page are in bright colors, with the left-hand page presenting picture-caption word in English and the right-hand page giving either its French or its Spanish equivalent, with pronunciation help. The last page of each book lists all the words that were presented, along with some easy general rules for pronunciation.

Red balloons and green plants, an orange skateboard and a pink dancing dress: these are just a few of this book's many colors. Our bear friends are showing them all in English and French.

Cuddly, colorful teddy bears teach new words to very young children -- and they do it in two languages! Six titles are in both English and French, and six more are in English and Spanish. They give very young children an early start in learning a foreign language at the same time that they are learning their own.
