The son of legendary gunman Frank Morgan, Conrad Browning goes by the name Kid Morgan -- the Loner -- and has forged a growing reputation of his own. But in the midst of a fight for his life, the Kid discovered that he too was a father -- of twins he'd never met. His ex-fiancee, Pamela Tarleton, had hidden his children from him, but she's dead now so he won't be getting any answers from her. The Kid heads back to Boston where the children were born with plans to follow Pamela's trail until he finds his children. He knew it would be difficult with the trail three years old, but he hadn't counted on the murderous criminals Pamela had hired to hinder his search. Even from the grave, she is still able to continue her warped plan for vengeance. The trail leads the Kid to a small Kansas town and a tale of cruelty, greed and power -- the kind of story his father always knew how to end with courage and a gun. Now the Kid must temporarily set aside his quest to find his own children to help those who need Conrad Browning's influence and Kid Morgan's gun to solve their problems.
