Walk Kent

by Chris Moore

Published 6 October 1994
This guide covers 35 walks in Kent. The routes listed range from short strolls to longer hikes, and pass through the full range of landscapes which Kent has to offer: parkland; woodland; rolling farmland criss-crossed by hedgerows and small roads, and ornamented by picturesque farms, villages and inns; the flat fields and medieval churches of Romney Marsh; the woods and open uplands of the North Downs; the drained fields, mud flats and sea marshes of the Thames Estuary; and the grassland which runs along the tops of the Dover and Folkestone cliffs. The county provides something for every taste, and each route is within comfortable driving distance of every other. Each walk is illustrated by a four-colour map highlighting the route and interesting features along it. The guide is bound in handy spiral format and each walk is visible in its entirety when the book is folded flat so that it can be kept in a plastic bag or wallet during inclement weather without having to turn the pages over.
