Each book in this series includes an account of the region's history, a section on food and drink, and a detailed narrative tour of all the region's notable features - its cities, villages, chateaux, churches and monuments, and areas of outstanding beauty. Each region is divided into several sub-regions, and at the end of each sub-region there is a list of recommended hotels and restaurants across a wide price range, sports and leisure facilities, museums and art galleries.
