Guess My Name is a Celtic tale where a farmer has to guess the name of the fairy he wants to marry, just like the miller's daughter has to guess the name of Rumplestiltkin if she is to keep her child. The Enchanted Gazelle is an East African tale where a gazelle uses her wits to make her master's fortune, just like when Puss in Boots wins riches for his lucky owner.

In this title, fairy tales from around the world been chosen to promote literary comparison as required by the National Literacy Strategy. Each story is followed by a more familiar fairy tale with which it has strong parallels. Includes information about both stories' origins and ideas for discussion
