Book 3
As a young man, Stryder of Blackmoor was imprisoned in the Holy Land and once he regained his freedom, he resolved to live the rest of his life without any emotional ties except to his friends. His allegiance is solely for his king and for his fellow members of The Brotherhood of the Sword. He has but one calling in life - to help free the poor unfortunate souls who were wrongfully imprisoned as he was. The last thing he wants is a home and hearth. But when he meets Rowena, the renowned Lady of Love, Stryder's resolve is weakened. For the first time, he wants to live his life for himself - and what he wants is her. Unfortunately the path to true love rarely runs smooth; Stryder becomes aware of a plot against King Henry and all the clues point to Rowena's beloved uncle as the culprit. His oath to the king demands he expose her uncle, yet Stryder knows in his heart that if does, Rowena will never forgive him.
Book 4
Queen Adara of Taagaria is a woman with a mission. She has to find her wayward husband and either return home with him or return home pregnant. If she fails, her beloved country will be overrun by her husband's uncle who seeks to murder them and steal both their thrones. Christian of Acre has no desire to be king of anyone except himself. Nor is he aware that the paper he signed as a boy was a marriage contract and not a betrothal. He spent his childhood first imprisoned in a monastery by his uncle, then later in a Saracen prison. Now that he is free, he wants only to help those in need. The last thing he wants is to be tied to a wife. His allegiance is to the Brotherhood of the Sword, not to an unknown kingdom. But when the beautiful and alluring Adara appears unexepectedly in his room - naked - and informs him that not only is he her husband, but that he must perform his duty by her and give her an heir, Christian can't help but be intrigued by her most tempting proposition...
Lochlan MacAllister was born to lead. Ruthlessly groomed to take control of his clan, he has given his life to his people. But when he learns that the brother he thought was dead might still be alive, he embarks on a quest to find the truth. Catarina wants a life of freedom. But now Catarina's royal father wants to use her as a pawn to ensure a treaty between conflicting lands. So much so that he's willing to kidnap his daughter to force the issue. But when she escapes, fate throws her into the path of a man she loathes. Lochlan is stunned to find the shrewish Cat being hauled away by unknown men. Unwilling to see even her suffer, he frees her only to learn that she has her own demons to fight. When their fates intertwine, two people who know nothing of trust must rely on each other, and two enemies who have vowed their eternal hatred must find common ground, or see their very lives shattered.
