The Most Embarrassing Dad in the World was embarrassing Nathalia even before she was born. He went and married Mum, didn’t he? Mum’s last name was De Montfort. Thanks to Dad she wasn’t Nathalia De Montfort. She was Nathalia Bumole.
“It’s pronounced Bew-mow–lay,” Dad would tell her patiently, time and again. “If anyone says differently, the joke’s on them.”
But as Nathalia knows only too well, the joke will not be on them. It will be on her. Massively.

The most embarrassing dad in the world is back in this hilarious series for girls from TV and radio-comedy writing talent, Nigel Smith.
When Dad posts an embarrassing video of Nat online as a joke, she’s furious. Things are set to get much worse, however, when the video goes viral and she finds herself centre of the nation’s attention for all the wrong reasons – even the prime minister is imitating her!
But when a local care home for abandoned pets is threatened with closure, Dad convinces Nat to use her new-found celebrity to raise money for it – with him acting as her agent, of course! Cue: a disastrous appearance hair-modelling job, a not-so-glamorous campaign for a local optician and a call to turn on the town’s rubbish autumn illuminations (the one with the miserable face off The X-Factor cancelled at the last minute). And as if Nat didn’t have enough to deal with, school isn’t exactly easy when you’re a minor celebrity…

Nat’s class is going on a week-long field trip to hunt for fossils. Cue: mouldy log cabins, potholing, map reading and more totally boring ‘geography stuff’ – all the things that Nat hates… and Dad loves! Of COURSE he volunteers to come along on the trip as a parent helper.
Normally Nat would strictly forbid Dad’s attendance BUT he’s finally applied for a ‘proper’ job – teaching survival skills to juvenile delinquents – which will keep him busy and stop him interfering in her life! If all goes well on this trip, he’ll definitely get the job. Nat just needs to keep Dad away from the canoes… and anything involving a zip wire, oh and perhaps they shouldn’t venture up the rather treacherous-looking mountain Bleak Peak during the strongest storm of all time…
