Darkhaven Saga
9 primary works
Book 1
There's no wrath like that of a witch scorned.
Seventeen-year-old spirit witch Ava Lopez is the self-appointed guardian of the witches and humans of Darkhaven, an idyllic village nestled between the forest and the sea. Her watch: vicious and bloodthirsty vampires.
Ava is a novice in the eyes of her coven. If she expects to protect them and the secrecy of their powers, she must gain better control of her own. When a full moon ritual goes awry, control may be lost forever, and Ava is exiled from her coven. Forced to seek refuge among the beings she had always sworn herself to hunt, she vows revenge on those who have upended her life.
But the more time Ava spends away from her coven, the more she discovers a startling truth: the witches haven’t been honest with her. Ava’s quest to strip the truth from everything she’s ever known begins with the toughest realization of all—coming to terms with who she has become.
Book 2
There’s something about the scent of blood from the undead.
In the heat of battle, hybrid Ava López discovers she has new and fascinating powers, but she does not know how to control them. Though her former enemies have offered her refuge and helped her acclimate to the vampire lifestyle, even they don’t understand her enhanced magic.
With mounting threats from Ava’s former coven and reckless rogue vampires, Ava and her new friends have no choice but to request the wisdom of Holland Taylor to help her understand her powers. Holland is one of the most powerful witches Ava has ever met, and he is also Jeremiah’s ex, which introduces another wrinkle.
Tension between the vampires and Ava’s former coven is building, and when the witches offer a deal Ava would be remiss to reject, she is forced to choose between the life she once considered safe and the life she never wanted.
Book 3
There's a little witch in all of us…
Ava López’s best friend from childhood is missing, and her former coven has asked for her help to find her. Despite all the pain the witches have treated Ava to with their rejection, she is determined to find Liv—even though her new allies harbor resentment.
Ava hopes finding Liv will put an end to the feud between the two groups, but she realizes that to help the witches, she must turn her back on the vampires. But this is the least of her problems.
Ava must choose sides and test loyalties with a decision that comes at a cost—one even Ava, with her ever-growing powers and connection to spirit magic, never could have foreseen. To repent for her disloyalty, Ava must bind herself to a dark promise. A promise no magic can break.
Book 4
It’s not easy being a witch when you protect those who’d burn you at the stake.
Ava López has never felt so betrayed. Looking for answers, she’s returned to her former coven, but instead of finding the truth, she’s fallen into a trap set by her own blood.
The dark spell that’s been cast upon her strips Ava of her vampirism, and in the days that follow the ritual, a void grows within her. She’s more conflicted than ever. After all, Ava never wanted to be a vampire. This could be a second chance at life, a newfound freedom from darkness and bloodshed—so why does she feel as though she’s lost the most important part of herself?
To have any chance at the life she craves, she must break the spell, but doing so requires the unimaginable. Unless there’s another way. Unless, by harnessing everything, she can finally set herself free.
Book 5
I am not prepared to start a war. I am prepared to end one.
Ava López is cursed. It’s been a month since a dark spell ripped her reality to shreds, and she is barely surviving the metamorphosis into her new existence—whatever that is. She puts on a brave face so her vampire allies don’t worry, but inside, she is empty.
Ava must live with the consequences of her actions, and as the void within her grows, it threatens to overpower what little sanity she has left. But Ava does not have the luxury of time to understand her inner turmoil.
Threats loom on all sides, and if Ava doesn’t restore her powers soon, she and her friends are doomed. This time, she accepts that peace will only come from war. Lives will be lost, trust will be broken, and a dark curse will alter the course of Ava’s life forever.
Book 6
There's no wrath like that of a witch scorned…
Seventeen-year-old spirit witch Ava López is the guardian of Darkhaven, a seemingly idyllic village nestled between the forest and the sea. Protecting her coven and unsuspecting humans from vicious and bloodthirsty vampires isn’t easy, and it doesn’t get any easier after a full moon ritual goes wrong and she becomes a vampire herself.
But she’s not just a vampire. She’s a never-before-seen hybrid. She’s powerful beyond imagination—and the ultimate threat to those who have crossed her.
This fast-paced, riveting series follows Ava on her quest to unravel the secrets of the witches and vampires of Darkhaven.
Book 7
Even light can be tempted by darkness.
After Ava López’s deepest secret is exposed, Sofía discovers the vampires are hiding a staggering truth: Ava is a hybrid—part witch, part vampire—a creature that should not exist. Sofía worries the repercussions of allowing such a powerful being to remain as sole protector of the amulet will have everlasting and dire effects.
Even as the line between protecting the amulet and harnessing its power begins to blur, Ava assures her friends that she alone must carry this burden. But the more Ava accesses the magic contained within the black onyx crystal, the more control it has over her.
Slowly, Ava begins to merge with the entity summoned by the witches. As the evil inside influences her, its grasp reaching deeper than ever before, her friends arrive at a terrifying realization… If they don’t act quickly and destroy the amulet once and for all, Ava may be lost forever.
Book 8
Evil has finally come home.
After discovering an army of rogue vampires hiding in a network of secretive caves beneath Darkhaven, Ava López finds herself trapped by the sun with an enemy who bears a striking resemblance to someone she believed was lost forever.
The longer Ava is imprisoned with the mysterious newcomer and his legion of undead, the more she questions everything the hunters have taught her. She fears the worst—that they too have lied to her.
Out of allies and losing hope, Ava is forced to turn to a very unlikely source for help. A human. While Ava’s new companion has no reason to trust her, she sees her own broken past in the eyes of the desperate hybrid and can’t turn her away. Their shared curiosity uncovers an unsettling truth about vampires and leads them down a dangerous path—one where evil lurks at every turn.
