Enslaved as a convict in the canefields at the Gator Creek prison farm, Anderson was in one of the tightest fixes he had ever known. Outside, Davey Honeyman's pals in the Wes Heaton gang were robbing and murdering their way across the bayou country. To put paid to them he had to break loose.
Here were five people brought together by a poisoned past and by a unique opportunity to make a fortune. But that fortune would not be easily won, for there was terror and betrayal to be overcome, in one of the wildest and most unforgiving places on earth.
The minute Anderson landed at the remote Idaho rail station, he knew he'd find trouble. Some people out there were expecting him and wanted him dead. They'd started with a bushwhacking at the station house. And when that didn't work they kept right on trying. Just like he knew they would. When he woke up in a funeral parlour after a saloon gunfight, Anderson thought it couldn't get much worse, but pretty soon he realised he was wrong. From Idaho the trail led north into the Canadian wilderness, where a bunch of outlaw killers waited. Anderson found some friends, but he was going to need them, and plenty of luck, if he were to back the odds and come out alive!
