Thomson Delmar Learning's new "Introduction to Agriscience DVD Series" provides a multitude of visual mini-lessons. This series provides up-to-date content in order to enhance teaching of the many subject areas embraced by agriculture, technology, food, and natural resources-a teaching resource developed exclusively to meet the needs of Agriscience programs. The four (4) general topic areas of the DVD series include: animal science, plant science, forestry and natural resources and woodwork, metal work, and tools.
As a useful tool for program certification, this high quality DVD series offers an innovative approach to performance-based learning and maximizes limited teaching resources. These tools allow instructors to show key tasks, including all P1 tasks in the areas covered, to students in the classroom prior to training them in the shop. The entire series of DVDs is correlated to the 2005 NATEF Task lists, which makes them ideal for use in combination with NATEF Standards Job Sheets, or with any comprehensive or topic-specific automotive text. Coverage includes diagnosis and repair procedures in the areas of Engine Repair, Suspension and Steering, Brakes, Electricity and Electronics, Heating and Air Conditioning, and Engine Performance. Automatic and Manual Transmissions coverage will be added at a later date.
