But before frustration (and Richard's formidably correct aunt) can drive her quite mad, someone attempts to burgle the Merrill townhouse. When disaster strikes Mairelon, Kim must negotiate the hazards of London society, and finds that her abilities as a magician and a lady are a matter of life and death.
