This deals with a completely new and radically different version of WordPerfect, totally different from WordPerfect 5. WordPerfect 5 has about 25% of the WP market in the UK and over 40% world-wide, and is by far the most popular WP package. This looked set to continue until the release of Windows 3. WordPerfect 5 is not a Windows application and fits uncomfortably into the Windows environment. This would not have been a problem but for the tremendous success of Windows 3, which has sold over three million copies in nine months. Predictions suggest that half of all PCs will be running Windows 3 by 1992. Users with Windows 3 obviously began the switch to word processors that run under that environment, many changing from WordPerfect 5. WordPerfect have taken their time and developed thoroughly this WP package for Windows.
