Read Write Inc. Phonics Parent Handbook helps parents support their child by using Ruth Miskin's successful tried-and-tested phonic methodology for reading success. It offers practical and effective advice in guiding their child through every story and helps build confidence using fun and engaging stories with opportunities for talk and praise throughout. The handbook also includes a letter from Ruth introducing RWI and information about her experience and role in advising the DfES on phonics and reading. It shows how the RWI method works and why it is so successful, how to use the Speed Sound Cards and how to use the Storybooks. It also includes general information about developing your child's reading ability.
