It combines Kaffe Fassett's hand-woven fabric designs from fair trading trusts in India and his printed designs with his own patchwork projects and those of his fellow designers, Liza Prior Lucy, Karen Stone, Susan Powell, Pauline Smith and Kim Hargreaves. The instructions are designed to be easy to understand and are supported by a practical "know how" section. The book's setting is a deserted clapperboard beach cottage.
