Zach Lopez has just moved to Devil's Pass and is missing his old home already. When he meets Tiffany, Jeff and Evie in his new school, they tell him the town isn't what it seems and that strange things happen there. Zach doesn't believe it until he sees a glimpse of a white horse with a horn and a mane full of glitter. Could it really be a unicorn? Soon, Zach finds that his new friends were telling him the truth and more, that they have to save the town from a brutal infestation of carnivorous unicorns before the whole town gets eaten.
Devil's Pass seems like a quaint, wholesome town with one small exception. It just so happens to sit on a sinkhole that is a portal to another, awful world. Luckily, the town also has a group of courageous teens who fight the danger as it comes. Zach, Tiffany, Evie and Jeff along with Mr Hofstrom use their intelligence and skills to save the town, and the world, from the terrifying otherworld that Devil's Pass sits on.
Jeff Allen needs a new phone. But for a new phone, Jeff needs money and therefore a job. When he starts working at the new mobile phone shop for Mr Vlad, he thinks he's got it made. Soon, he notices things aren't quite right. The new phones come preloaded with a game, and everyone in town including his friends seem obsessed. But not normal-obsessed; they're Devil's Pass obsessed, which, in his town, often leads to very bad things. Jeff has to find what's causing the obsession and break the spell before the town and his friends succumb to the mortal danger in front of them.
Evie Allen is smart wicked smart. So smart, she's the star of her school's quiz team. But something's up in the town of Devil's Pass, as usual. The team Evie must go up against is hungry for more than just the championship they need brains to keep themselves going. It's up to Evie and her three friends to once again save the town of Devil's Pass and maybe win the competition in the process!
Tiffany Donovan has a lot of responsibility as class prefect not the least of which is the annual cake sale. When she finds a new bakery to buy biscuits from, she is thrilled with how much the people of the school and the town seem to love them. But as is always the case in Devil's Pass, the biscuits aren't what they seem. Soon anyone who has eaten the biscuits seems to be in danger of being eaten themselves, and Tiffany has to get her friends together to save the town once again.
