In recent years the number of computers in primary schools has increased dramatically, but many teachers still feel inadequately prepared to take on the challenge of exploring art and design on the computer. The book provides a developmental approach to creative art with the computer by showing how it can be approached in as basic or as advanced a way as paint or a pencil, and can be used in conjunction with any aspect of art. It gives teachers the confidence to explore art and design on the computer. The book also provides an explanation of computer hardware, software and art programs and processes, and outlines computer challenges which will introduce children to a wide range of computer art experience.
