Book 1

Once Bitten, Twice Shy

by Jennifer Rardin

Published 8 October 2007

Vayl is the CIA's top assassin. A master of black ops, he has never failed. He's also a 291-year-old vampire. Assigned to protect Vayl, if such a formidable creature can be said to require protection, is Jasmine Parks - 'Jaz' to her friends.

But Jaz has got problems - and not just the run-of-the-mill ones you'd expect from someone whose job consists of putting her life on the line for an undead assassin. She hasn't had sex in god knows how long, so Vayl's almost overpowering vampire charisma is making it increasingly difficult for her to keep their relationship . . . professional. Her personal life is a long line of missed birthdays and Christmases, and lies and excuses to her family. And then there's that other thing: the blackouts.

See, there's times that Jaz can't account for and things that happen in those times that Vayl - not to mention the CIA - may not appreciate. And if they find out, Jasmine knows it won't just be her contract that's terminated . . .

Book 2

Another One Bites the Dust

by Jennifer Rardin

Published 1 January 2007

I'm Jaz Parks. CIA assassin. Black Belt. Belly dancer at the Corpus Christi Winter Festival. The last is cover for my latest mission: retrieve a vital piece of biotechnology by killing the maniac who stole it. The thief is not your run-of-the-mill nut job, either. He's Chien-Lung, an obsessive vamp who's invulnerable while wearing his armour - which is constantly.

Then there are the reavers, ancient fiends who murder innocents and eat their souls. Only I can sense them. So it's not long before they want me dead, dead, dead.

And did I mention the nightmares? They're not your garden variety sit-up-and-screamers. These suckers may actually kill me before the reavers do.

Book 3

Biting the Bullet

by Jennifer Rardin

Published 7 February 2008
I'm Lucille Robinson

(aka Jaz Parks).

This is a mission unlike anything my vampire boss, Vayl, and I have ever been on. It's not our usual take them out and run; it's an undercover mission that needs the whole gang: a psychic, an interpreter, and a weapons specialist. We're joining a Special Ops team to nail the Wizard, a major terrorist thorn in the military's side. We've never gone in with such heavy artillery before, but the more the merrier, right? Um . . . nope. At least not since Vayl and I learned part of our job is to ferret out a mole concealed in our unit.

To add to our problems, we're being harried by a pack of reavers bent on revenge, and targeted by a Seer who wants to share Vayl's power -- at any cost. Oh yeah, and let's not forget the army of demonic, soul-sucking parasites either. This is going to be a blast.

Book 4

Bitten To Death

by Jennifer Rardin

Published 1 August 2008

Jaz Parks, assassin and black ops agent, is plunged head-first into her latest mission - a confrontation between her ancient vampire boss Vayl, and his previous undead allies. The CIA is hunting arch-criminal Samon, and needs Vayl's ex-friends for information. But the team will have to wade through knotty vampire politics, a were-on-were blood-fest and some nasty (oh, and blood smeared...) visions to get to it.

Luckily Jaz's highly trained killing-machine brother is on the job. Unluckily, he has reached the end of his carefully hoarded sanity, and the mission targets suddenly don't seem quite so realistic. The last thing Jaz wants is to end up on the dead side of the balance sheet ...

Book 5

One More Bite

by Jennifer Rardin

Published 5 January 2009

I've already smoked the guy who was the pain in the CIA's you-know-what for the past few years. But now, in the power vacuum left by the death of Edward 'The Raptor' Samos, a struggle for supremacy has begun between his former allies.

The CIA feels the balance must be maintained. So when a Valencian Were agent discovers a plot to assassinate the Coven of Inverness' leader, me and my vampire hottie (and boss), are drafted in. Our mission - to take out the woman hired to do the deed, a killer who might be as wily and Gifted as ourselves.

So it's off to the Scottish Highlands for some twisted fun among murderers, demons and half-crazed relatives. Sometimes being a top-secret CIA assassin isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Book 6

Bite Marks

by Jennifer Rardin

Published 29 October 2009

Jaz is possessed. After biting the neck of a domyter during a forced visit to his territory, she now has unwelcome voices in her head. While fighting for supremacy in her own mind, she finds herself confronted with a near-impossible task: perform perfectly on her next mission or face the unemployment line.

This goal wouldn't be unreasonable, except that her newest target, the leader of a security software firm, plans on transporting a boatload of gnome larvae into NASA's deep space communication complex. Why gnomes? Let's just say that their god is a little peeved with humanity and plans on the usual: total annihilation.

Joining Jaz and Vayl are their old buddies Cole, Bergman, Cassandra and Jack the malamute, each of whom has his or her own agenda. Between Cassandra's curse, Jaz's literally mental personal demons, and a host of angry gnomes, this mission is definitely going to be more complicated than any that have come before.

Book 7

Bitten in Two

by Jennifer Rardin

Published 8 November 2010

Jaz Parks here. I. Am. Pissed. Just as Vayl and I arrive in Morocco to secure an ancient artifact, he wakes up calling me by another woman's name. And it's not even a good one. But since any form of argument transforms him into an unholy terror, I'm forced to play along until the gang and I can figure out what kind of power has so vastly altered his perceptions.

So it's time for me to do what any well-trained assassin in my position might do. I attack. What follows is a hair-raising, breath-taking bullet train ride to the finish as the crew battles on multiple fronts. I now know what I have to do - I must return to hell one last time.

Book 8

The Deadliest Bite

by Jennifer Rardin

Published 2 June 2011

Jaz is no longer in a hurry. Working as a consultant has its perks, and one of them is the option to say, 'No I don't feel like killing anybody for you this week. Call me at the end of June.' If I'm still alive. Because by then she'd be finished with her trip to Hell, where she would've carved Brude's name into its bile-encrusted gates. Or lost her soul.
For now she and Vayl are content to wait for Raoul's signal that the time is ripe, while playing hide-and-seek in Vayl's massive Victorian manor. That is, until their doorbell rings, just as Cassandra calls to warn Jaz that Vayl is about to be staked by his long lost son. Jaz quickly stops this from happening, but finds herself pulled into a tangled web that takes the gang to Romania.
So how will Jaz save a ghost, rescue a demon and cheat the Great Taker out of a soul he's slavering for while defeating her nastiest foe yet so that Vayl can, at last, cherish a few precious years with his sons? With careful planning, major violence, and one (hopefully) final trip to Hell.
