Will Hannah fall for Thomas's charm and how he is with her daughter?
Hannah and Sarah
Hannah Moorhouse is our female protagonist and the mother to Sarah, who happens to be deaf. These two young ladies have been through quite a lot on their journey to America and being here as well. Hannah is starting over from living in St. Louis to living in Willow Valley and opening her hot chocolate shop. Sarah is learning sign language from her mom. When she gets to go to school there, she also teaches Thomas how to sign. If I were to meet these two on the streets, I would feel bad for Hannah and Sarah, but I would also try to make them feel as welcome as I could.
Thomas
Thomas Gordon is our male protagonist who has lived in Willow Valley his whole life with his parents. He owns a leather shop right across the street from Hannah's Hot Chocolate shop and her home. Thomas cares a great deal about Hannah, and it shows when Thomas first meets her to learning everything about her. He wants her business to succeed so much that he does things secretly to help her out. Hannah doesn't even realize that he is doing it. Thomas has a good soul when it comes to helping someone out on their business ventures and helping them settle into Willow Valley. Mr. Gordon is a great character and one that I would want to befriend especially if he offers to help keep my business afloat.

The Light at the End of the Tunnel by Linda Weaver Clarke is her first book in a new series of novellas. This series started from a few short collections she wrote in a book to keep Willow Valley alive in the readers' hearts, and the readers spoke that they wanted each one to be a bit longer. I, of course, was one of those readers as I loved them. The Light at the End of the Tunnel was the perfect length to begin and end Hannah and Thomas's love story, including little miss Sarah, who is busy teaching her new dad sign language. These three make the perfect little family. My rating for The Light at the End of the Tunnel by Linda Weaver Clarke is four stars and a recommendation for anyone that reads historical sweet romance.
