This is the third volume of Discover Northumberland and contains another 30 circular walks covering the whole of Northumberland from north to south and east to west. It is aimed at people of all walking abilities and preferences with length ranging from 2.1 km (1.3 miles) to 21.3 km (13.2 miles) and difficulty ranging from easy to strenuous. Some of the walks are in a figure of eight, so each loop can be dine separately or together. Many of the longer walks have shorter versions and altogether the different variations and combinations make 50 routes.
The walks range from the far north of the county on the Scottish border to the southern border with County Durham visiting the fabulous Northumberland coastline and the wonderful countryside inland along the way. Some of the walks are Northumberland classics but many are new, being specially created by the author after a lot of research and exploration.
