Otherwise, both editions have the same focus and goals for teaching sexuality education. Specially designed for teaching adolescents and adults with a broad range of disabilities, the STARS model in both editions has a focus on four areas: Understanding Relationships, Social Interaction, Sexual Awareness and Assertiveness. The goals of the guidebooks are to promote positive sexuality and preventing sexual abuse.
