I absolutely adore this novella. A story with LGBTQIA+ characters that is a mixture of fantasy and detective story with cameos from classic fairy tales is all I ever asked for.
It's this type of book that you read in one go when you just have to know what happens next. Although the switch between past and present might not suit everyone for me, besides being a great way to introduce new characters, it's one of the many things that keep you on reading and reading until you realize it was the last chapter and then leaves you longing for more.
