Angels in the Dark contains a bunch of short stories and excerpts from the Fallen universe. These excerpts and stories are very short and pointless, but make for a quick read.
Here are my thoughts about the excerpts and short stories:
★ What happened to Trevor (1,5 stars)
I was always curious about the mystery of what happened to Trevor in Fallen because I couldn't make sense of it and after reading this, I am still confused.
★ Arriane's Day Out (3 stars)
My favourite short story from Angels in the Dark. I might be a little biased though, because I like Arriane. We get to see the amazing friendship between Arriane and Roland and Arriane's excitement about seeing Luce again. It doesn't add much to the Fallen universe, but it shows Arriane's and Roland's feelings about the situation.
★ Daniel in LA (2 stars)
An okay story, which adds something small to the Fallen universe by showing the first interaction between Shelby and Daniel and how Daniel ended up at Sword and Cross. However, I don't understand why Shelby makes such a big deal out of such a small encounter by making it seem like she and Daniel had a non-platonic relationship in Torment
★ Miles in the Dark (1 stars)
Very short and pointless.
★ Inside Francesca's office (1 stars)
Also, very short and pointless.
★ Cam goes Hunting (1,5 stars)
Cam is an intriguing character and while this story shows the darker parts of his personality, it's short and ends abruptly.
★ Luce and Daniel's Date (1 stars)
Same old Luce and Daniel stuff that I don't care about. This story also has an abrupt ending.
Angels in the Dark doesn't add much to the Fallen universe, so unless you're an avid fan of the series or someone like me who has to complete series no matter what, I wouldn't recommend it.
