The first book, Lord Blakely’s Gift, was a sweet and often times humorous story. I loved how these star crossed lovers changed the dynamics and history of two feuding families.
The second story, A Season of Hope, was a mixture of sadness, regret, forgiveness, and love. I loved how in the story Christmas time helped bring about a change and healing for many of the characters. I would have loved for this story to be even longer because of how delightful the characters were.
The third story, Christmas by the Sea, was about a family kept apart because of a war. The father comes home after two years away and tries to establish his ties with his family. The husband and wife love each other and despite a conniving act by close family members, a Christmas Miracle can still happen.
The fourth book, Expectations at Canterwood, completely stole my heart. The story of a spinster, mistaken identities, and a rich and touching storyline make this a favorite in this collection. The connection between the two main characters was real and deep. The healing that takes place after many years of suffering was heartwarming.
This collection is another winner for Covenant, with lovely stories, a gorgeous cover, and characters you'll remember long after you read them. This book is a must-buy for Regency lovers and is perfect for gift giving this Christmas.
