This novel is definately for the over 18 crowd, very erotic and very graphic. Callie is most definately portrayed as a strong, deeply sexual women who flies in the face of societal norms regarding sex. She wants what she wants, and she isn't intimidated by it or afraid to be bold about it, even aggressive about it. Her overly aggressive, public behavior was the one stumbling block in truly relating to the character because there are just some things you don't do in public. But this isn't a book about relating to everything about a character. It is about fantasy, hidden desires, and acting on them. If you are looking for romance, and strong, interpersonal relationships, this isn't the book for you. But if you are looking for a fantasy, starring a hot guy and a gorgeous girl, then pick it up and give it a read!! While it definately wasn't supposed to be a deeply romantic read, I do wish there had been a little more substance to Callie outside of her sexcapade, because I think she has the potential to be a really interesting character. I like the fact that she doesn't fall in under stereotypes and lives her life the way she wants to, not how others think she should.
